Penn Hills Ready for Third Annual Summerfest

August 5, 2017 - 01:34 PM

The Penn Hills Parks & Recreation department will be hosting its 3rd annual community SummerFest on Saturday, August 5th at Turner-Friendship Park starting at 3:00 pm and ending at 9:00pm with a spectacular fireworks disply from Zambelli Fireworks.

Last year's event was attended by over 2,500 festival-goers and this year's event has something for everyone. For kids, there will be bounce houses, a petting zoo and monster truck rides. For adults there will be many crafters, vendors, home-cooked goodies and live music.

Organizers expect larger crowds this year, and are ready for Saturday's event.

This year's event again will host some of the finest food trucks in Pittsburgh, including Vagabond Taco Truck, Coop Chicken & Waffles, Bulldawgs, Oakmont BBQ Company and Kona Ice Pittsburgh.

The day will be filled with live music, featuring Hear Tonight, The Poor Souls, Mark Ferrari, Flow Band and a live DJ.

The night will once again be capped with a dazzling fireworks display from world-renown Zambelli Fireworks.

Limited parking is available at Friendship Park, and visitors are encouraged to park at Penn Hills Park where a shuttle will be running to and from the venue all day.

We here at ThisIsPennHills.com can't wait to be there to cover the festivities and we hope to see you there!
